Weather Workshop – Sun 22nd Feb – Active Marina

An introduction to weather for all yachtsmen and women. This 3 hour session will cover weather sources, where our weather comes from, understanding the inshore waters and shipping forecast and an introduction to synoptic charts. We will also review the wide range of on-line weather sources and provide some recommendations on great weather apps for your smart phones/tablets. Supporting The Cots for Tots Appeal

Congratulations to Sally Skuse from Atkins for winning the half day Powerboat Experience prize in the Atkins raffle raising money for the Cots for Tots Appeal. We are delighted to support their great efforts this week which raised £631 and will be added to the great total that the team have already raised in memory of Baby Hetty. RYA Advanced Powerboat Course

This weekend we had 2 students looking to master Advanced Powerboating skills to ensure that they can operate safely at night, find both lit and unlit marks and master more advanced close quarter handling skills such as ferry gliding.
