Courses are run at our Inverness Training Centre.
This 1-day course is designed to provide crew members with the essential knowledge and practical skills to prevent, combat, and extinguish fires on board small vessels. It is the appropriate level of training for vessels primarily using fire extinguishers and fixed engine room systems, rather than breathing apparatus.
1 day training – Designed to meet the requirements of the Workboat Code Edition 3, which states, for any vessel required to carry a stability information booklet, that – “at least Master shall complete an MCA approved stability course
The HELM (O) course is designed to provide the education and training in the human element leadership and management at operational level & meets the syllabus requirements laid down by the UK Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB).
