Meet our team:
Jake is a RYA Yachtmaster® Power (Commercial) and RYA Powerboat Trainer/Examiner. Jake started boating at a young age off the north coast of Ireland. Spending many hours at sea in his youth he became and avid fan of power boating in many types of craft going on to teach the sport here in the UK and overseas
Kath ScottChief Instructor
Kath is a RYA Yachtmaster® Power (Commercial), Cruising Instructor (Power) and Advanced Powerboat Instructor. She has been boating for most of her adult life in a range of vessels from small powerboats to cruising yachts and larger motor boats. She is a keen yachtswoman and has covered many miles in the UK and southern hemisphere. She has competed in 2 RORC Fastnet Race Campaigns.
Dan MaclellanAdvanced Powerboat Instructor
Dan is an Advanced Powerboat Instructor and RYA Yachtmaster® Power (Commercial). Dan is a professional commercial skipper (MCA Master 200gt) working in the Port of Bristol.
Mitch CollinsMarine Engineer
Mitch is a Professional Marine Engineer by trade and a keen boater. When he’s not fixing them he is out on the water playing with boats. Mitch has a wealth of knowledge and brings his professional ‘top tips’ on the Diesel Engine Maintenance Course
Hannah GlatzelAdvanced Powerboat Instructor
Hannah is a RYA Yachtmaster® Power (Commercial) and Advanced Powerboat Instructor. She has been boating for most of her life in a range of vessels from small powerboats to cruising yachts and larger motor boats. She competed in the 2013 Round Ireland Powerboat and RIB Challenge! Hannah is currently studying Medicine at the University of Bristol.
Phil RichardsonRYA Yachtmaster Sail and Powerboat Instructor
Phil has spent years in a variety of boats from large yachts to teaching power boating at sailing clubs. He looks forward to meeting the challenge of the Bristol Channel and imparting his knowledge.
Marc GibbonsRYA Yachtmaster Coastal and Powerboat Instructor
Marc has been afloat for most of his life in a range of boats from Dinghy’s to fast RIBs to Lifeboats! He has worked for the Bristol Port Company as part of the Pilot Boat crew and is an RNLI Second Coxswain and Assessor Trainer.
Howard RammPowerboat Trainer/Examiner and Yachtmaster Instructor/Examiner
Howard has recently retired as the Head of Lifesaving for the RNLI.
