We offer Slow speed handling sessions to get to grips with parking the boat in different configurations and for those who are looking for more miles we have our new mile builder sessions.
To get the best from your radar at any time you must know how to set up and use the radar correctly, and to be aware of the limitations of the equipment. The RYA radar course is designed to give small craft seafarers an understanding of radar as an aid to navigation and for collision avoidance. At night and especially in poor visibility the radar can be a lifesaver but it is down to the operator to make to most of the electronics on board!
This weekend we had 2 students looking to master Advanced Powerboating skills to ensure that they can operate safely at night, find both lit and unlit marks and master more advanced close quarter handling skills such as ferry gliding. New for September 2014 is the RYA Powerboat Tender Operators Course. Aimed at superyacht deck crew who will be carrying out guest transfers between the yacht/anchorage and the shore. The course includes some night driving and costs £325 poer person (multiple booking discounts are available).
