The RNLI Alternative Boat Race – support Boat No 150 in its quest to raise funds for the RNLI

10 April 2015 is the legendary new day in the boating calendar. 250 miniature lifeboats will set sail from Barnes Bridge to Chiswick Bridge in the RNLI Alternative Boat Race.Every pound raised from your entry fees will help support our lifesaving work on the water, so we’re encouraging all of our students to help a make a real difference and sign up to support Boat No 150 – aptly named “Compass Sea School”header-content

The Tower Lifeboat Station is the busiest out of all 230 RNLI stations. It’s right next to Waterloo Bridge and yet only 34% of people in London know about the lifesaving work of the RNLI crew members. This year to let more people know about the great work the RNLI is doing in its rescues on the Thames, they’re holding a little version of the big boat race.

Every pound raised from our entry fees will help support the lifesaving work on the water, so you’ll make a real difference when you sign up to donate. Some of our Sea School instructors are also members of the RNLI in the local area and as london-eyecommercial skippers we all know only too well how important the great work of the RNLI is in providing, an on call, 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service.

With the RNLI lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue, the RNLI are committed to saving lives.
