Sailing Taster Day
Looking to get out on the water and experience the beauty of sailing then this 1 day Taster session is for you.
Taster Sessions give you an hands on experience of readying the yacht for sailing, hoisting the sails, taking the wheel under the supervision of our expert instructors. We will stop for a lovely lunch in one of the beautiful local anchorages
Taster Days are great for groups with mixed sailing abilities
Taster Days can be booked as a private booking for a minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 attendees – see details in the booking system below.
Your day will start at Inverness Marina where your skipper will give you a safety briefing on board. You’ll help prepare the boat for departure, exit the marina, hoist the sails and head out for an adventure in the beautiful Inverness Firth.
You’ll get the chance to participate fully in the running of the ship – hoisting, helming, trimming and more.
After a morning sail, you will drop anchor and enjoy a hearty lunch on board – we may even get the tender into the water to give you a go at mastering the art of rowing a small boat. After lunch, expect more sailing, as you make your way back down the Inverness Firth, under the iconic Kessock bridge and head home.
This session is non residential – no accommodation is provided.
Pre Course Experience: No Prior experience is required but if you have already gained some experience then you are also very welcome. Taster Days are great for groups with mixed sailing abilities
Your course will commence at 0900hrs and finish at approximately 1600hrs.
Minimum age 8 years old. All Under 18’s MUST be accompanied by a paying adult. There is a maximum of 3 children on board.
This course operates with a maximum of 5 students per instructor/vessel
